I also read that artical....it mentioned that the "old" powders had been recently in a car, and left there for a few days, with day time temps exceeding 90, I believe that, more than likely, caused the problem, and not the age of the powder
well....I my guess would be that the 257 was based upon the 7X57....because that's where the 6mm Remington came from....I have some brass, if you need some....I'll have to dig it up....interesting that the 7x57 can be used in a short action....
I would have to agree with this assessment, however I find it hard to believe that, after going through "resizing" the case will not hold a bullet.....really....another reason to keep things "local"....cheap is never the best way to go when reloading....
just ran by this thread....I have what I believe to be an 8lb unopened jug of H414....NOS...it came from my dad's stash, so it's at least 10 years old....stored correctly...I have not opened it, as I use other powders....
not interested in selling, however would be glad to trade for other...
O.K...I see....said the blind man....good luck with all that...I'll tell you....I had some trouble running my reloads through AR type rifles...I had loads for other guns, stuff I wasn't going to use anymore, and....I thought(stupidly so) that I could use them for plinking at the range.....not so...
man, your in for a WORLD of opinions on this...like one of the earlier posts.....it just doesn't boil down to one powder, and that's it....as that post stated the person liked a particular powder...that does not mean that you have to love that powder.....if you go at from the way I assume your...

takes about 15 minuets per 100 on the machine, and damn near that much time to load up supplies, box ammo, tend to the screw up's, and what not....
