Read that book and do what he says.
For those watching the movie, look at her pistol right after she shoots John wick in his bullet proof suit (cringey ‘nice to see you too’ scene). She’s holing the pistol on him and I swear it looks like it is jammed/out of battery??
I don’t often respond to bumps in the night, but when I do it’s with an AR in the cover of darkness. Living in the woods, does it seem reasonable to leave one’s house under some circumstances? Strange vehicle heard at odd hours, observe from cover of darkness (and actual cover of ditches for...
IMHO, Dryfire is a far better use of ones time. Look at Ben Stoeger’s book Dryfire reloaded. It’s geared toward USPSA but can be applied to any pistol discipline. I’ve made significant, measurable gains in competition with dryfire accounting for 80% of my pracrice.
You know the SIRT has a good bit of adjustability. I haven’t messed with mine yet. Only thing I did so far was up tape over the distracting laser to make sure I was watching my sights instead of getting distracted.

I’ve enjoyed these. I need to revisit this drill now that I actually suck less.
I completely agree, and I really need to start putting in time dryfiring. I'm fortunate that my range is a short walk from my back door, and I can live fire about every day if I take a mind to. Realisticly it's more like 2 or 3 times a week. Supplementing with dryfire for 10 or 15 minutes on...
I too am thinking about attending my first Steel match. I'm closest to Strongpoint but would go to any in GA to try out. So far all I've done is GSSF and a lot of practicing at home.
I've shot a good bit this summer, over 2 gallons of once fired 9mm. I'm getting better, but really like the idea of having a top-notch expert help optimize my grip, stance etc. If I put in 50k rounds and develop even a slightly bad habit with form, it could take a lot more shooting to undo...
___________ insert the shooting expert you respect most here. Eight hours, burning through 1000 rounds of ammo. I'm thinking eight hours of private, indiviualized instruction would likely be more useful than several days with a big group. So what would that kinda training be worth, if it...
Good observation, I need to revisit how far to place my pad on trigger. One thing I forgot to mention, the 40 has a minus connector and NY1 spring. The 9mm has just a minus connector. I don't thing trigger fully accounts for the movement, as I can easily manipulate the NY1 in dryfire with no...
