I have the M&P full size, because it fits my holster and I can train with it. I'm on my third one. I put 50 to 70 thousand rounds through the first two. Sent them to Smith for repairs. They just laughed and sent me a brand new one both times.
Yea. I've tried it multiple times at exactly 50 and exactly 200 on 6 Inch steel with multiple different loads and barrel lengths and it was never correct. Changed zero to 100 yards and had instant hits at 50,100. 200, and 300 with every round I had.
I'm sure it works for someone. I'm not that guy.
I have seen guys replace their real can with a fake when it was integrally suppressed and they wanted their shots to get picked up on a timer. That seemed totally legit to me I guess.
I have to say get a 300 Black. There is nothing I hate more than adding a new caliber, but it jus makes sense. Here's why:
This is ODT.
Get 300 Black
Get Suppressor
Get Helmet
Get Mount
Get Nods
Get IR Laser
Get IR Illuminator
Get Divorce
I went to a T Rex Arms 2 Gun shoot a few years ago. One of the stages had a provided range gun, 10.5 inch 300 Black with LAW folder and red dot.
The stage of fire was to move from left to right engaging 10 steel targets at various distances with your pistol while wearing the 300 Black folded...
I put a Fortis Break on mine, pulled the safety selector out and sanded the male portion down to get a better horizontal fit. Polished the crap out of the trigger destroy get it down to about 4lbs, then experimented with ammo until finding the 147 grain. Sweet spot.
