I think my best rifle is a .270I have never owned a 270 believe it or not. There was nothing a 270 could do that a 308 or 243 could not.

Watch this video. Really cool testing between.270 vs .308I have never owned a 270 believe it or not. There was nothing a 270 could do that a 308 or 243 could not.
Would never get rid of it though. You might be right.31 thousands of an inch was not the problem, it was bullet design and shot placement.
A 06 has taken everything that walks the planet. You might be right.
Didn't think having a kid growed me up that much over 1 year tho.
My kid tells me to this day I'll never grow up.
At 63 I'm not sure I want to.
But that dirty 06 has killed more deer than I can count.
Loaned it to a buddy to take to Colorado one year and he brought back a Elk and a Muley Buck.
Back when Colorado was affordable.
7mm mag was my first deer rifle I bought with my own money at 18. Winchester model 70 I would shoot a 12x12 cardboard box at 700 yards with it out in an open field by the house I grew up in using my buddies dads reloads.I like a 1/4 bore. I think I'd look at the 7mag before I bought a 270. I bet the 270 would shoot tighter groups though
