10mm??? Who needs it when you have .40

My findings have been that the plating normally holds up and the rifling does not contact the lead. I have,at one time, gotten what I thought was a good deal on some plated ammo manufactured by GA Arms. They were selling it as factory seconds due to thin plating. I thought "how bad can it be at 10 yards in an IPSC match?". It was horribly inaccurate. If the plated jacket is even torn by the crimpping process the ammo is worthless as far as accuracy is concerned.

So, the rifling will cut through the inferior plated bullets, but not the good ones. I use the Berry Bullets, and have not had any problems with them in conventional rifling. You are warned not to use them in full velocity rifles because they will not take the rapid rotation in the rifling and will fly apart. Which, by the way, I have seen in my USPS 40 caliber--3 small holes, one shot-- that darn polygonal rifling again.

So, in answer to the plated bullet question, they may or may not hold up in a Glock or HK barrel.

Every other argument is now invalid. :D

I had my go round with the UW heavy hitting .40 through a Gen 2 G23...
