I have a Benelli Super Vinci in 12 G. Only about half of my shells are cycling.
Here are the specifics:
AA hulls
Red Dot powder
1 1/8 charge bar
the 29 bushing
MEC 650JR press
#8 shot
pink wads

What am I doing wrong?

I shoot a Benelli SBE and reload with a MEC and it takes a 32 bushing to insure a reliable cycle using Clays,1 1/8 of #8 and Claybusters white wads. I use AA,Nitro 27 or STS hulls. The load MAY be a little heavy but when using the SBE it is almost unnoticeable. I don't know which pink wads you are using but if they are the Win. S3, those are intended to be used when reloading paper hulls. Check to see if they have a flat base or a concave base. use the concave base wads.

Have you checked to make sure your bushing is throwing the correct charge? Some of my mec bushings throw a lighter charge than advertised. Also for Win AA 1/8 oz loads I use AA white wads or Claybusters.

Here's the follow up for anyone who cares:
I went up from the 29 bushing to the 30. No more problems!
It made sense, and worked!
Thx to everyone who made suggestions.
Tom
