A test between four cartridges and the outcome. Check out the results they speak for themselves. I do love the winner and why I have a few. You can't beat it 500 and in.

243 is a great round but ammo is heavy and expensive. The 25-06 is a great round as well. Big cases with a small light bullets is a winner almost all the time. In this case we are testing intermediate rounds. You can carry a ton of ammo and get devastating results. They really aren't in the same category to tell the truth. However, I agree the 243 is a hell of a round.Get a .243 Win - that is what these rounds are trying to duplicate.
Flat brim hat crowd don’t @ me.
These rounds do it with less powder, and the ability to be shot out of a small frame gas gun. The future is now old man.Get a .243 Win - that is what these rounds are trying to duplicate.

You is da man!I killed more deer with a .243 than any other cartridge. Then I found out about the 6.8 SPC and and have been using it ever since. It will do anything I need it to do easily to 300 yards and even further if I had to push it but I have never seen the need. I have not hunted with anything else for the last 15 years I guess.
Ok, son. These rounds do it with less powder, and the ability to be shot out of a small frame gas gun. The future is now old man.
The 6.8 and she 6.5 Grendel leave the muzzle at the same velocity with similar bullet weights. It's only after 400 the Grendel starts to show its ballistic advantages but I wouldn't push one that far when deer hunting anyway. Not even close that distance. My Interest is for defensive purposes or sane deer shots. If I am going to be in a situation to shoot that far I would bring a suitable caliber.I did have a mini in the Grendel. I had to part ways with it before hunting with it. It seems to have a good balance.
