For anything.

I have 6.5 CM, 25-06, 280ai, 270 WSM.

Not sure a 6.5 PRC warrants an addition to what I already have.

I'm a little more interested in the 6.5 Weatherby RPM.
For hunting, it looks like you already have great options, and I don't see how the 6.5 PRC would be any better. For long range competition stuff, I have no idea if 6.5 PRC might be worth it.

What rifle do you have chambered for 280ai?

Wsm rounds are over-hyped by the 7 people that still own one
Mine was gifted to me. So I won’t sell it. I did get it to shoot, though, and took a deer with it last year.

My 280ai has a long throat and I can load them really long. I’m getting the same velocities as factory 7prc loads with 175gr ELD-X and 160gr LRX. I’m prob not going 7 prc, although I know it’s a great cartridge.

300 prc is interesting.

Yeah dude, you are well covered. 280ai is a great cartridge.

If you are trying to push limits, then certainly some more options out there. But I don't feel like you are lacking if just hunting and casual long range shooting. At least until you want to step into magnum cartridges.

I read somewhere that the 6.5 PRC is the best all around hunting cartridge on the market among the new offerings. I just built a 6.5 PRC target gun and it's the shiznit! Very little drop at 350 yards and packs a hell of a punch. I like it so much I am looking at a lighter weight rifle in the same caliber or a re barrel on one of my current bolt guns with a proof research or Boss offering.

Accuracy is nothing but stellar even from the Howa barreled action I used on my build. It shoots well under 1 MOA.. They must be popular because Brownells is slap out of all those barreled actions in 6.5 PRC. They offer stainless and blued, 22 and 24 inch lengths. All options are sold out. That should tell you something. Recoil is more than manageable as well.

I built a 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 and I thought that was a nice round. Then I built a 6.5 PRC bolt gun and was surprised at the power and accuracy of the PRC. Here is a pic of the 6.5 Creedmoor on the left and the 6.5 PRC in the right. As you can see it has a lot more ass to it. All I can say is go for it and you won't be disappointed. A man can never have to many options. Guns for men are like shoes are for women. You can always use one more.
