Anyone find it hard to find 6mm rem brass these days? I have an older rem. clambered in 6mm however the only thing I can find are OOS ads. Also, if one does seem to run across a few cases they want almost what a box of 20 rounds would cost. 2nd question) what case could be used to convert into 6mm rem brass?

Depending on how much work you want to put into it, they can be formed from anything from .257 Roberts & 7x57 Mauser to .270, .280, and even .30-06. Easiest is probably 7x57 or .257 Roberts, but both are almost as difficult to find as 6mm (especially .257 Roberts).

well....I my guess would be that the 257 was based upon the 7X57....because that's where the 6mm Remington came from....I have some brass, if you need some....I'll have to dig it up....interesting that the 7x57 can be used in a short action....
