A Cautionary Tale - When Ordering Online, Select Your FFL Carefully

I understand where you are coming from, but I have seen far worse fees for what amounts to a few keystrokes. I received something the other day that wanted me to pay $35 for a change to my account in what amounted to a few keystrokes.

Let's not forget about airlines that charge $150 for the same level of service.

Same thing happened to me when I ordered from Kentucky Gun Co. Instead of an online order I made one over the phone.

I received the email confirmation and the guy on the other end picked the wrong Cherokee. I had to call 'em back and get it straightened out but it didn't cost me anything.

Classic is feeling more and more slimy these days...what a shame.

Oh, and if you had used Dobbs, I don't think there would have been any confusion.

I personally don't see a problem with what happened.
It is a fantastic service for any FFL to accept a transfer free for their regular customers, but why should they do it for any Joe off the street? If they don't make money, they won't stay in business.
As for the seller: They probably instituted the fee to keep customers from calling back repeatedly, which causes them increased labor costs.

She should have changed it for you for free. I ordered some parts on-line from Nu-Line Guns and later noticed I had entered the wrong part. Called, and the lady was very helpful and said it is not a problem as long as the parts were not shipped, and that there was no charge for changing my order. That's the way it should be.
