Beautifully colored birds
The bottom bird is going to be mounted. He’s absolutely gorgeous.
We’re infested with Woodcock right now. I’ve never seen or heard so many.

I have one mounted. Always hunted without a dog. THAT will get your heart pumping since you basically have to step on them (always unseen) before they sky rocket up. I LOVE IT! 
They remind me of liver.

I’ve been my own retriever, bird dog and beagle all my life. You are most accurate with that description in how they flush.
