A more REALISTIC dry fire training session

The first four individuals that come to mind that havegood insight on the matter is john lovell with warrior poet society (warrior poet society has many good youtube videos). He is also with telurric training here in ga. The other individual is baret fawbush (truexodus is his tag also). they both have either youtube or instagram videos about sirt pistol/dry fire drills. Robert vogel is the third (a pro shooter). He actually speaks about the benefit of the dry fire mag on the dry fire mag website as do others. Honestly, i was hesitant in the purchase initially but having had it for several months now and using it very regularly, i have seen much progress in my trigger control and it does what it says it does on the site. Lenny magill (glock store guy) has some stuff on reset trigger dry fire kits as well. I have come across other videos/articles on this type of trigger press training but these 4 guys are ones that stick out by name by memory

Just did some 'look up' on those you mentioned. Good stuff there.

I like him a lot. I respect him a lot too. You can see he is a man of character and integrity. Not a g.i. joke or tactical timmie kind of guy but the real deal...:thumb::thumb:

Be fun to take a trip down to Brunswick for some class time!!

Thanks for references!!

So, i guess this helps with adding recoil in dry fire. Mike seeklander uses this in his training and he seems legit... Hmmmm...pricey, but concept is pretty cool. I heard they had some hiccups initially with the product but have all the kinks worked out now. Seems to be the most realistic approach i have seen for us common folk thus far

So having been looking into this coolfiretrainer more, i like the idea and it seems to be a step in the right direction with more realistic dry fire practice. I have one on order and look forward to enhancing dry fire practice with this.

Give us a report when you get it, please, sir.

Will do. Mike seeklander uses it daily in training and really likes and recommends it. It gives ya around 20 more or less (depending on firearm) trigger pulls with felt recoil before filling barrel again which literally takes a couple seconds. I will find out firsthand soon how it works :D

In the video link below, Mike Seeklander, who has a morning DDC Dry Fire Training at 7:30am M-F, uses the cool fire system in the training and demonstrations he's covering. He swears by it, so this video is a good place to see it used. By the way, people can follow his Facebook page, get notifications, and do the training with him live at 7:30a daily.

I'm thinking about buying one sometime too. Like to hear how you like it.
