A stretch but, anyone have access to Ford microfiche? ** Aka how to diy you an ugly fan shroud

I dont think you know the cost of re-coring. I could buy two all aluminum rads for the cost of re-coring this one. The one I got is a direct fit.

I wont be going to the yard after all. By some wild stroke of luck, I actually found a shroud in my pile yesterday. Its an inch off on the height and not deep enough but fan hole size is right on and I can fix the rest with fiberglass.

I modified one to make it deeper by using a strip of metal wrapped around the round part to extend it

Ripped all four sides of the shroud down on the table saw to the desired size and started forming the walls. Should be done with the form in a half hour or so. Then layer it in parchment paper and start laying the glass on thick. Bad news is fedex dropped the rad somewhere along the way and bent the outlet. So Im going to use it as a form and tell rockauto to get one coming.

Finished product. I forgot to get a pic after the paint job. Fit is better than I had hoped for. Going to foam the top/bottom lips to seal tight against the tanks. Shes a 50 footer for sure, but it will do what Im asking of it.
