Advice Wanted - Scout Rifles in .308

I can't speak for the others but I've been hunting with the Ruger GSR for years. I have taken many deer with it. Very accurate with 165 Hornady SP's and Varget. My complaints are that it is heavy, and it just doesn't carry like a traditional bolt action. If you're not deer hunting with it that may not matter to you. Oh, and I mounted my scope over the receiver with the ruger rings and not in the scout configuration.

So, thanks everyone for your feedback.

It looks as though - following some more research - that I WILL be going for the GSR.

I just have to spend a while raiding the sofa for small change, running a protection racket in my subdivision and giving handies at one of the truck stops on the 75 until I have enough money to pay close to MSRP for one.

Thanks for the insightful comments and suggestions. I'll take some of them under advisement.
