I think I've finally got the perfect combination. 10.5" 300 BLK and 7.5" 5.56.

The DPMS "slick side" receiver finally got here.
It's really interesting, how much thicker the aluminum is on this receiver as compared to a standard one.

Should you have reversed it and gotten 10.5 in the 5.56 and the 7.5 in 300BO? Everything I have read says 10.5 is about the minimum you want to go on 5.56

I did, actually, think about the reverse order but the 7.5" pistol was an afterthought, as my original goal was to build the 10.5" in 300 BLK. I wanted to play around with the extra parts and that is what I came up with. And, I seem to keep adding on to my "afterthought" pistol, here it is with a Krinkov device. I have read reviews and watched youtube videos about the Krinkov and everybody seems to have the exact opposite idea, from the other guy, about what it is for and what type of weapon to mount it on. But, I can always take the cone out and just have a flash can.

P.S. I did, also, get a 10.5" upper in 5.56, so I may one day switch it back to the longer config.

Waiting to see what the G O V does and maybe I won't need the stamp, but I'm not holding my breath, either. I would like to have an MOE adjustable stock on my 300 BLK to make it an SBR!

SBR your favorite lower and have all the different uppers you want! The Gubment ain't gunna do nuffin about SBR's, if we're lucky we may get a reprieve on suppressors.

I'm not one to ignore constructive criticism so I put my 10.5" (carbine GS) 5.56 back together. I have returned the 7.5" 5.56 barrel (wasn't feeding properly any way) and now I'm waiting for a 7.5" 300 BLK barrel to come in the mail.
All I will need after that is a new gas block and maybe I can find a reasonably priced lower right here on the ODT.
