Make sure the backing is NOT particle board or other wood mesh. It will expand if water gets to it and buckle the floor big time.
I dont think we've looked at any vinyl plank yet. Where did you get yours? Did you install on subfloor or slab?View attachment 1964479 View attachment 1964480
That's why I went with the vinyl plank. It's cork backed and waterproof. You can score and pop it with a knife which makes install very easy.

I installed commercial grade laminate from Build Direct. It was rated AC4. It's tough and durable. The installer that put it down complained that it ate 4 of his diamond blades. It still looks brand new.We thought we had decided 3 times on different brands but every time we find out something we dont like about it. Im putting down 1776 sq ft of it on an open floor plan. We have a dog and dont want something that scratches. Need to stick with 12mm. We've looked at HD, Lowes and Floor and Decor. Right now we're looking at Allen Roth from Lowes. It gets good reviews on resisting scratches. What have yall used/installed? I know tile and real hardwood floors. But the laminate Im learning as I go. TIA...
