Any travel ball dads on ODT? This kid's seriously cutting into my gun budget, lol!

I had one son who played travel hockey. I don't think I bought a gun the whole time he traveled.

I played travel baseball growing up. Between the teams, gear, and trips they prob could have retired. Then my sister did it with softball. Loved it though.

Grandson plays. From my perspective it looks like a second job for his dad time wise and a drug addiction money wise.

I have a 7 year old and a 12 year old that both play travel baseball. Between 3 practices a week and tournaments every weekend we stay busy. I enjoy it though.

My oldest daughter played travel softball. It paid off for her with a full ride scholarship to Brenau then a 2 year Masters at Ga State. I didn't have to pay for an education but I paid a ton for the travel ball. We always enjoyed it though so no complaints.

My son played from age 12-18. Headed to college this Fall to play . Expensive, time consuming but worth it. The more reps they get, the better they become.

Travel ball or local ball... it's all expensive anymore. But it's good for them and I gladly sacrifice my gun budget for my kids.

My son has been playing both rec/select and tourneys on weekends for years now. It's big buisness. We get up early stay late and eat junk food all day. Good times and great memories well worth it.

amen, really gonna miss this when mine leaves in August for college. He would not have been recruited if not for travel and High School ball. Great time in life to chase them all over the southeast playing tournaments.
