Anybody still lubin' with the frog?

Remember back 18 months ago or so when every gun you bought on the ODT smelled like Vick's Vapor Rub and was slicker than a fresh caught fish? Just wondering if anyone is still using Frog Lube and still liking it. Haven't heard much about it lately.

Mornings like we have been having.Had same issue with froglube on a 1911 on a morning hunt.

So when it gets cold the action isn't a smooth... That and it seems to get hard in the cold. But who is leaving their best friend out in the cold anyway?

I have used it on most of my guns for the past couple of years and never had a single problem. Granted, they have not been subjected to what I would call extreme cold; however, I have been outdoors for hours at a time in 30°-35° with no issues.

Wife complained about the taste. Using Hershey syrup now.

Yes and yes. No problems in the cold. I think some apply too heavily, resulting in sluggish action in the cold. If applied correctly, there is not a mass of material to get hard - it remains in the pores and on the surface as a very thin film.
