Anyone apply for a non-resident carry permit in Florida?

Can you give me an idea how much hassle it was, where you went, and how long it took?......I want to pick up Va and WVa. This seems to be the best and easiest way.....

couple of friends have, its not hard. Its also a smart thing if you travel.

Does not seem like much of a hassle. You just have to submit fingerprints, 2 photos and give money. You can request a packet for free in the mail. I just ordered mine. Im going to get the FL permit just because I visit my mom down there.

Florida does make you take a weapons class though. Everybody should have some sort of training so this aint a big deal anyway. It says a hunters safety course will do.

Until I read this on the reciprocity laws re: SC

These states will honor the Florida concealed weapon license ONLY IF the license holder is a legal resident of the State of Florida.

So the actual answer is no.
