If I had the available vacation time, I would prob take you up on this. Good luck and have fun.
If you had said Nebraska or somewhere there about for mule deer, I'd be in. But elk for some reason has never interested me and I have absolutely zero intention of ever stepping foot in Colorado again on purpose.

November in Colorado is not a "may be super cold" it's a guarantee.
oh yeah! the wind is killer! but if you are somewhat prepared, not too bad, great clothing fabulous boots, I have went to bed or to the tent went to sleep it be in 50° woke up with 3 to 6 inches of snow!
The only problem I have with the snow is everything looks the same so you can get lost in a heartbeat.
Always been a dream of mine but wouldn’t be able to make it this year
