I prefer the strobe on mine. I tested it... if you're looking at the strobe, your eyes dilate and readjust, so even if the intruder has a gun, they would probably be a little confused and temporarily blinded.
From behind the strobe, everything looks normal. The strobe is quick enough, where you still see everything normally.
