My uncle is hosting a AR-15 for beginners class plus a class on how to treat gunshot wounds on the range. This is a beginner level course, not a run and gun course for experienced shooters. Details and price are below, you don't even need to have an AR, one will be supplied. Only 15-20 spots available, unless there is an overwhelming response.

The AR-15 for Beginners: An Overview of the Rifle Platform for the New and Inexperienced Shooter.

Overview: To explain the basics on the AR-15’s: parts, modularity, role, different set ups, controls, and the basic firing of the weapon for the new or inexperienced AR-15 shooter. This is a class for someone who is a beginner with little to no experience regarding the AR-15. Participants will be allowed to bring their own firearm, but no discount will be given and the rifle will be inspected prior to use. Ammo will be provided.

Location: Skyline WMA Firing Range in Huntsville, AL (an Alabama hunting license will need to be purchased to use this range, it is good for 1 year.)

Date: April 26, 2014 ($50.00 deposit due by April, 11, 2014)

Cost: $85.00 includes: firearm rental, ammo for course, and box lunch.

Course Layout:
-Brief history for the AR-15 rifle.
-How the rifle system works.
-How to manipulate the controls of the rifle
-How to zero your sights (iron sights, scopes, and red dot/holographic sights will all be present)

Bonus: an AR-15 with slidefire stock will be available to shoot to get a taste of what full auto fire feels like. Loaded mags will be available for an extra fee.
