AR15 for Deer Hunting?

Hey guys wanted to get some of yals input on this. I've watched plenty of videos on ballistics and deer hunts with AR15s and specific .223/5.56 rifles. Do you guys think it is an adequate round for Deer hunting?

Oh lord, here we go again. OP there was a thread no to long ago about this. It was a pretty heated thread with firm belivers that said yes/no about the .223/5.56 cartridge being an effective deer hunting round.

In to watch it possibly happen again though...

sure, i've seen deer taken with them. i didn't see any issue

Depends on what kind of deer you are after! I personally wouldn't hunt moose with 223!

It's fine, just choose a properly constructed bullet designed for medium sized game...not varmints.

I've killed quite a few within 100 yards...no problem.
