Building an ar9 thinking 5.5" barrel. What weight buffer are you guys running? This will most likely be suppressed 100% of the time. Thanks

I run 8oz o 16"barrel along with a 308 carbine buffer spring. Experiment and see what works. Just remember that they are blow back and can is going amplify this.

I have been giving this a try. Got a few hundred rounds through it, no problems so far. A lot quieter than a traditional spring, and a lot cheaper than the jp silent capture springs. I got the 9mm version.

JP bolt with JP Silent capture Spring. Buy these two and be done with it.
I also recommend the Tros USA 5" 3-lug barrel.
Would love a 3 lug but my shephard 45 doesnt use one
I see. Well, no need to worry about the long wait associated with Tros then. Never the less, I have experienced no problems what so ever with the JP combo mentioned above.
