You know they do have to make sure that the patient is healthy enough to go thru the anesthesia .

I understand but each doctor seemed to pass the buck. Potassium low, Vitamin D low, BP a little to high, etc

It's called spreading the liability. It is ultimately Anesthesia's call on whether you are healthy enough for Going under anesthesia. High BP increases risk for bleeding and clotting time... Potassium low? Heart Conductivity and arrhythmia complications. Fat? Look up BMI ranges for surgery...

Just FYI... Healthy people have less complications and usually less surgeries.......

Sure. Somehow it changed to a different issue every time she was seen. There was no indication of any elevation factors until the next test. If the stats were borderline, Wouldn't the doctor advise about other concerns at that time?

For real. I thought they hit you with adrenaline or something. I don't like it either but if they're stopping my heart I ain't doing that no more. LOL.

Sounds like they want to make sure your body can handle an invasive and serious “elective” surgery. If the heart doesn’t do well under a stress test, they would likely advise against the surgery. They are conspiring to keep ya alive. Go with it…

I'm to the point with my Dr, that I feel that he doesn't Dr me...he just reviews my blood.....EVERYTHING is the blood work.....nothing else seems to matter
AND...it appears that they would like a 71 year old man to have the blood of a 25 year old, and if not.....MORE TESTS!!!
I'm getting ready to have a bone marrow biopsy, because the blood work wasn't good enough....pretty soon, I can see bone marrow biopsy's as regular as blood tests....I'm sure it a cheap procedure....right??

I have been told that I'm at the age where it needs to be done. But. if I happened to get into a car wreck, and have my leg broken or whatever, I'm sure they're not going to give me a stress test before they wheel me into the OR.

I don't get cut on for the **** of it. Neither does my wife. Last round of surgeries where and are to save her toes. Hereditary stuff. Mine have been to save an eye, then eyesight. Then save my life. Remove a tennis ball size cyst of my spine. Pre cancer and skin cancer
