And that's an absolute understatement! So you put **** through the mail.......Well if they'd stole that, the joke would've been on them........🤣
Sounds about right go Doc they take blood &piss tests listen your heart check your BP check reflex etc they check results. Old docsays need more tests put on new meds. They check u out got decent insurance . In the end you make the rounds of your Medical provider they all happy all got piece of the pie. ??? Come see in 6 months for check up . My experiences with the medical profession.I know I answered this question in another post, but a few months back I was finally going to have my knee that I banged up 40 years ago on my Harley replaced. Ortho Dr. sent me to get a EKG, to which my reg. Dr. wouldn't do for whatever reason, but referred me to a Cardiologist. Of course he was with the same medical group that she's in. So, he takes the EKG, listens to my heart, looks over recent labs and says everything looks good. BUTTTTTT........ He wants me to take a stress test. So, I say ok, I can walk a treadmill, in pain, but I've walked around our local park and have lost almost 70 pounds in the process for a while now. Well, HE decides that I can't walk, bad knee you know, so he's going to give me a chemical stress test. For those that don't know, they inject you with something, and it stops your heart for a gazillionth of a second, and they get their data when it starts back up. That is, if it does, they have a heart team on standby, just in case it doesn't. I know this, because years ago, when I was 70 pounds or more heavier and actually couldn't walk, they did this to me. They give you a can of Coke (yes the soda) to get your heart rhythm back in step after the shock of dying is still fresh in your mind. Well, I refused the test, said he was searching for a solution to a problem that didn't exist, and walked out without the clearance I needed for my knee. So I still walk in pain, but I'm used to it after all this time and I am a Trooper.
Now comes last Friday. I go to my regular Dr. for a yearly checkup. Every thing good. BP great, some tests I had before, good to go. Need scripts? Yep, refill them all. Let's do a prostrate exam real quick, just for old times sake. Well, I guess I say. OK good, I'm going to take a couple more blood tests before you go too. Hey, can you take a leak? No problemo I say. Today I get a call, and guess what. My Vitamin K is elevated. VITAMIN F'N K!!!!!!! What the F is VitaminK????? And how many people have ever heard of Vitamin K????? Better yet, how do they develop a test for Vitamin K, and how many Drs. actually test for Vitamin K???? Now my wife is pissed at me because I told her I don't give a crap. I ain't dropping any more money on Drs. that go looking for non existent cures for non existent illnesses. So, rant over. Hope you enjoyed the story. I'm enjoying the silence in the house.
All I know is the last time I followed their suggestion about getting a "vaccine" it damn near killed me and my health hasn't been the same since....I'll take my chances.I can say I've had the flu with and without the shot. It's a walk in the park with the shot. It's like getting hit with a train without.
Oh yeah they push those vaccines never took flu shots did take first 2 Covid shots. I had reaction to 2nd one. Want take anymore still got Covid like having bad case of flu that didn’t want quit. I finally got rid of it. Good white liquor lemon juice and some hot pepper finally sweat it out. They push blood pressure pills try scare u into their $&$ you going die. Well yeah we all going die somehow some time get over it.We don't have healthcare in this country we have "sick care" and it's in theirs and the pharmaceutical companies best interests to keep you just well enough to come back for more tests and treatments.
I got back from the Dr's office. First thing out of the nurses mouth was "Have you had your flu shoot yet? The answer is no and I ain't going to either. I told her I don't trust anything they have to say about shots or vaccines and I've had my last one. Go find another lab rat.
They have me drinking 2500 ml of water a day which is about 84 oz in "freedom units" for my kidneys. Went to another Dr last week and told them them I was having problems with crippling muscle cramps. She wanted to know if I was staying hydrated and when she I told her how much water I was drinking she said that was way too much and that I was flushing all the good stuff out of my body and they wanted me to do half my intake with electrolytes. They are drug pushers!!!
They have not a clue how to read the room....blood, and tests.....oh...your 2 points above this, or that...you need to be on this drug....can't be off two points....when 25 years ago there were no readings like they have today....
My big deal besides the Bone Marrow thing is HYDRATION!!! they are all over me to drink more...drink more....drink more....I don't know about ya'll....I NEVER took a bottle of water to school or to work....I NEVER saw my folks drink water....I NEVER saw my grandparents drink water......NOW...I'm supposed to drink 60oz a day!!! anyone have a clue as to how much that is????
If I still worked, there would be no way...I simply couldn't carry that much water with me......I have a glass on hand at all times today.....they say "make sure you drink when you're thirsty" that is not possible...there is NO WAY you can drink 60oz a day, and be thirsty.....
My life is whatever I can squeeze into it between trips to the bathroom.I haven't a clue as to how you could do 84oz......amazing!!!
Those are 2 different circumstances. Good luck, and I hope that you get the treatment and recovery you need.I have been told that I'm at the age where it needs to be done. But. if I happened to get into a car wreck, and have my leg broken or whatever, I'm sure they're not going to give me a stress test before they wheel me into the OR.
At 71, how much more do you want to live? I say, tell the Dr to eat sh1t, and just don’t go back. Enjoy your life, and if you can, go get a hand job from a massage parlor.I'm to the point with my Dr, that I feel that he doesn't Dr me...he just reviews my blood.....EVERYTHING is the blood work.....nothing else seems to matter
AND...it appears that they would like a 71 year old man to have the blood of a 25 year old, and if not.....MORE TESTS!!!
I'm getting ready to have a bone marrow biopsy, because the blood work wasn't good enough....pretty soon, I can see bone marrow biopsy's as regular as blood tests....I'm sure it a cheap procedure....right??
