My dad has a '95 ford exploder with over 600k on the engine...he considered getting it painted...the paint is worth more than the ford.

Other than MAACO, does anyone have FIRST HAND knowledge of an auto paint shop that does decent work?

I'm not looking for a custom, bling bling finish. Just need to paint an old vehicle to keep the rust from taking over once the original factory paint completely falls off.

I'm looking for a hood for my pickup. My buddy told me just the black paint, the good paint, would run him about $800 for just enough to paint the hood. That is not counting the clear coat or any touch up needed, the R&R for the moulding, or the new emblems. Needless to say, the correct color hood that is bolt on ready is worth quite a bit more, to me.
