Barn Find Hovercraft

I was installing an Iron filter and softener for a new client last weekend, and we got to talking about motorized vehicles. I mentioned one of the cooler vehicles that I ever operated was a hovercraft... they looked at each-other and asked me if I wanted one, I said sure.

I will begin restoring this Hover Dynamics RX2000 sometime this winter, the craft was made in Cumming, GA - 1989 I believe. The Rotax 503 engine has gear reduction and produces 50 hp.

My dad and I ordered plans for building a Hovercraft from a Popular Mechanics ad circa 1981....

It used a go cart frame if I recall.

Never got around to it, look forward to your build.
