Oh, and the 1/2 boxer 1/2 pit bull, along with my beagle/shephard mix. I sleep kinda deeply so they let me know if anything is coming.
that ain't what gave me the seizure, it's the overkill with a pistol and 2 rifles for a nightstand pkg. do you still owe GDubbs $?
10mm is a great cannon, except that a 10mm produces approx. 164 decibles which is louder than a .223, 45acp, and even a 12g. shotgun according to the data I've read. So be certain to have your hearing protection on your nightstand as well... which I do actually.

Unfortunately I once had to use a .40 indoors (long story) and I didn't even hear it go off. I knew after the whole threat was neutralized that it had happened, but not during. But, yeah, I see your point.
