Blantons whiskey($200) and angels envy ($600) bourbon is trash

Don't they make Bulleit too?

The Rye is MGP for sure, its unclear on the others
The regular version, barrel strength, and 10 year stuff is made in Shelbyville KY.

Bulleit rye whiskey which has a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It is produced in Lawrenceburg, Indiana at MGP Indiana

"One primary product of MGP Indiana is a rye whiskey with a 95% rye mash bill, which is bottled under various brand names, including Angel's Envy, Bulleit Rye, Filibuster, George Dickel Rye, James E. Pepper, Smooth Ambler, and Templeton Rye"

In many instances the product is made from the exact same Mash bill in the exact same distillery to the exact same alcohol content with the primary difference being the bottle and label. The difference in price is advertising, marketing, and extra margin

For some products, MGP bottles it and sells to Diageo (who owns the Seagrams brands) and they in turn advertise it and market it heavily then sell for double the price of the MGP brands.

For the Angel's Envy Rye, it is MGP product which retails for $25 aged in rum casks then sold at retail for $90. Most agree aging in rum casks improves the flavor. Some question if it Is it worth the 350% markup?
