I'm rusty working on cars. My latest venture went south when I applied too much force to a caliper bracket bolt.
I have a good sized hole drilled through the bolt piece remaining inside the hub assembly.
There is not enough proud to get enough grip with the channel locks.
I'm thinking of epoxying a through bolt and putting a double nut on it so I can put a wrench on both sides.
I would probably just replace the hub assembly before I would buy a welder.
I might be able to increase the hole and collapse the piece in place.

Ideas?

I know you guys like pictures.

I have some heli coil left over from another project. I will have to put my hands on it tomorrow and see what size it is.
Maybe.
I would much rather see about getting it out.

If you zoom in. At the 7 o'clock I might have gotten into the threads a touch.

I don't understand...what's the big deal?...just drill it out.
I will destroy the threads I hope to save. I want to use the same size bolt.
I really don't want to tap it.
Probably not, but do you have enough room to run the tap in from the other side?
The other side is the head side.....in that case a regular tap would work...thanks.

The picture side is the end of the bolt.
