Is that better than a "truck" AR?
I never fully understood a truck gun. I never leave anything in my car. I guess we are talking cheap parts there

...notice I didn't '@' tag him...I hear he’s more into UZI’s than AR’s these days
I tagged him in an AR thread once and everybody roasted me for it....notice I didn't '@' tag him...

But seriously OP, are you thinking an honest 'build' or just putting together an upper & lower?
I've done both but before my 'boating accident' my go-to AR was an ADCO Firearms upper build using a light weight Daniel Defense 16 inch barrel on a White Oak Armament upper receiver, an LMT BCG, BCM mod 3 charging handle, fsb up front, fixed Troy rear sight in back, Aimpoint PRO in between, Magpul handguard.
Lower was a BCM blem factory lower with a Magpul stock & grip.
Magpul MS2 sling and a Streamlight light.

Cheap is more like it. I built a 7.5 poly lower AR for my truck gun. Less then $300 bucks in it and some trading. I never leave anything worth value in my vehicles especially weaponry.I never fully understood a truck gun. I never leave anything in my car. I guess we are talking cheap parts there
