Bought an Colt AR Barrel from a member on here. Excited about it and was ready to dimple when I noticed it was drilled for taper pins.

What do I need to do here? I don't think I can dimple it.

I have a geissele gas block that can use a taper pin. You can also cut the sight part off a FSB and install it.

Need to check the location of the set screws on the new gas block.
See if they line up with the slots cut for the taper pins. If they don't dimple away.
If they line up, you may still be able to use the set screws in the slots. All depends on if the block moves out of alignment with the hole when you tighten the screws.

Dude just grind down a standard front sight gas block. Grab some Birchwood cold blue, and you are good to go. Rock solid low profile gas block. If you have a tabletop grinding wheel it can be done in less than 30 minutes.
