I punched this into a ballistics calculator. This shot would require a 980 foot holdover even if his rifle was zeroed at 1,000 yards. What would you use for visual reference?

Also, holdover is in mils, not feet. It takes a little study to wrap your thinking around it, but is really slick once you get the hang of it. I am not yet at the "slick" point yet.
