Only had 3 teeth too? No bueno.
Got it off. 
I have run into this problem I can't remember how many times. Most of the time when I see it bending the tabs on the nut I give it a squirt of PB Blaster and try again after it sets for a while. If it doesn't budge then, I fire up the Mapp Gas blow torch and lightly heat up the nut, not the barrel or delta ring if it has one but the nut all the way around it. Like I said just the nut all the way around very mildly as to not damage anything. It should just turn right off after that. The idea is to heat it up just enough to expand the nut and usually, it just turns right off then. Some of those free float nuts are aluminum so be easy with the heat. It doesn't take much just enough to get it to expand ever so much. That will 9 times out of ten get it to spin right off then.
Don't put the hot part of the flame right on the nut. Just let the flame just skirt the nut. It can and will damage the finish on the nut if you apply it directly at the nut.
Good to see you got it. I just gave you a little tid bit of info for that real stubborn one.
Avoid drinking copious amounts of alcohol... It really helps.
