Cats that grow up to be assholes

Seriously though, I have found that most cats take on the personality traits of their humans. Give any kitten lots of attention and play time and that kitten will most likely not be an asshole.

None of my cats are assholes, but one is a real ****head. We even call hin ****head to his face... He answers to it like it's his real name.
There was an immature cat (maybe 6 mons old) living under a conex box across the road from the gun club. I heard it meowing one day and thinking it might be caught up in target line wires I approached it and it came straight to me. Wanted me to pick up, it was very thin. I started feeding it and giving it water and even learned it would come when called, from across the road if I called it. It'd trot along the fence line until it slipped through the gate and would come straight to me.

I named it Reload. I would have kept that cat (and I AM NOT A CAT PERSON) because it was so loving and wanted to be petted and have your attention. Not my usual experience with cats. I found a great home on a mini farm for it and he's fat as a buggy horse now.

Get a pair of Bengals and let the fun begin. You need two because they have to have a friend to keep them out of trouble and play with each other. Super smart and very mischievous at times. Our big male is about 1/2 dog in personality. We just had to put the little one down after 15 years.

Please see my Semi Useless Cats Thread. Cats run the whole spectrum. Some are friendly lap cats and some are only good to leave outside as rodent control. Most are somewhere in the middle.

Damn I'm glad you found it a home! I can't take in anymore.

Look for a Calico. All Calico's are female, have her spayed. Calico's are also hypoallergenic, so they will not trigger allergies on anyone.
If indoor, declaw the front claws. Love on them and play when they are kittens and you should be fine. We have 2 currently that are 10 years old.

Remember, dogs have Masters, cats have staff......
