It all depends on what you intend to use it for. Carry, or just a nice range gun and home defense. I have several that are in that range Springfield,Smith & Wesson XDm, SIG1911 all of them are great shooters. I am partial to the 1911's but I like em all. Seems like I love the ones I don't have more than I should.

Not really feeling the Glocks, been there done that. I did really like my CDP and prob should have kept that one. I'm leaning towards a DA/SA P220 or an HK Compact 45.

Yep. A Glock 21 with a Glock 30 backing it up. Or better yet, pick one and drop the rest on a conversion barrel and mags and have a 45ACP/10MM combo with change to spare.

Personally, I think I'd have to stick with a Colt 1991A1 and send it out for some trigger work and night sights... but that's the same as Dad's 1911- so I'm heavily biased.

Springfield Range Officer and just about anything by STI that's not a full on race gun would be my second (unbiased) choices.

I also have my mind set on a specific pistol but want to hear from others as to which gun and why would you chose it. .45 ACP only please.

Are you going to be "shootin'" or "showin"? Glock 30 for "shootin" and I suppose a gussied up Kimber if you are "showin".
