One of the best . He changed the sound of Rock&Roll.

Yes. And arguably the best lyricist in Rock. "My Ding-a-ling was a joke" but really listen to "Madeline" or "Memphis" and try to think of others who could so readily tell a story so well, and keep it within a typical but quality-exerted "pop" tune format.
