CMP reportedly to receive 86,000 M1 Garands from Philipines
No far from it. Korea allegedly paid for the rifles so they would not have been LOANED under Military Assistance Program (MAP). MAP loaned weapons can come back to the Army and then the CMP.
Foreign OWNED rifles have to go through an IMPORTER like BLUE SKY,,CAI, etc
Oh ok gotcha! I wonder how value/market will stand? Maybe I'll be able to afford one! Lol

If this is true I will max out a cc and buy as many possible.
lets see what happens...I am telling you as someone who has built a few M1's...You have to look at fit and finish on all the parts or the rifle will not work correctly.. I want them to make sure they have quality pieces before they sell them. BUT first...lets have them land on our shores..

I recall lots of the returns from Turkey were very bad.
