Cool Alcohol Stove idea

nice if i can find a can ima make this!
made one this weekend with my son but no pics yet….phone died….I am thinking on making a hybrid of what Jonny did and combining it with both ideas….just for kicks….I think they idea of the insulation is cool to act as a baffle incase it were to tip over….

I use HEET for fuel in mine. You can pick up a small bottle of it from any auto parts store. It's used to de ice fuel lines . http://www.goldeagle.com/mobile/products/product3D0E.aspx
x2^^^ heat is the best by far. After that is denatured alcohol from the paint dept in a hardware store. Be advised, it can be hard to see the blue flame unless its dark.

I was woundering... would you be better off with a thicker "coke" can?? I need to make one of these, and throw it in my bug out kit in my car and bag. I have to get to one of the surival outings soon, good info.
these alcohol stoves are almost like a cult, lol. There are so many designs out there its surprising. All of the various "coke can" designs are VERY light weight but sort of delicate. There are some made with the thicker "bottle cans" like some kinds of beer come in but they are a little more involved to make. Its best to carry any of the coke can styles inside of a protective housing, like inside your cook kit
