Countdown to Deer Season

They dropping velvet already in Paulding. It was the Thursday before bow opener last year. I hope they stay bacholered up and stay on the same pattern!

I think there was a lot of second, or even third, rut breeding last year. I'm seeing several really young fawns. Tiny little things with very distinct spotting.

There are others that are much bigger and the spots are almost gone.

Bear I think a lot are breed and just don’t take,therefore they breed each month until.i see different sizes every year but never the crazy rut which happens 3rd week of nov at our place.we will occasionally have a mature buck madly in love with a doe in December.
