cracked skillet lid help needed

So, I dropped the lid that belonged to my grandfathers skillet. I was looking for someone to weld/braze somehow fix so I can use it again. Maybe if someone on the southside of Atlanta wanted the job?
I can do some buzzbox stick welding but given what this is I don't want to make it worse.
And if you guys think this should be in the help wanted section let me know.

someone can grind a v into the crack and using the proper rod, tig weld it and it will hold,

Ive thought about that. I used it(JB) on a exhaust manifold on my 78 ford tractor and it worked for a bit. IDK if the heat or vibration broke it loose. I just though a weld of sorts would be better as far as putting it back into operation.

Its cast iron. It CAN be welded but you need a legit welder, not a hobbyist

You can also go by and get a price from a local machine shop

If you really want to try the home gamer version you can grab some muggy weld though

You will need someone who knows what they are doing and even then its a crap shoot if it holds.

Cast can be pretty fickle. It will need to be prepped and preheated correctly as well as cooled correctly to prevent cracking the weld.

I can tell you its hit and miss what holds and what doesn't. As the welder you dont know what all they dumped into that to make the casting.
