Mine was buried the day before my 7th birthday, It didn't hit hard until I had son's of my own and realized what I missed. If you still have them enjoy.

Mine is 79, I call him regularly.

She's been gone since 2002, he passed four years later & I miss 'em both every day...

My dad told me "you can never trust a man who will cheat on his wife". My son just repeated this to me about 2 days ago, out of the blue. I said your grandpa was pretty smart.

Heard that one growing up too. It was generally followed by "and a woman who will cheat with you will cheat on you."

My dad was a civil engineer.

One of his favorites was, "Measure twice and cut once."

Also don't think I ever saw him cut a rope. He had pretty good knot skills which I did not inherit. Nor did I inherit the carpentry gene.
