Daily Dinner thread?

Last night was Arby's. Tonight was lean pork chop, mashed potatoes, gravy with mushrooms and green beans. It was good

We eat it frequently. Cooks up super fast and can be flavored to fit any dish. I was introduced to it by an Algerian woman I met in college.

She was French and had fled the country with her parents in the late 50's when the war was particularly brutish. She was a good 20 years older than me but she was friends with the family I was living with and she brought it over to dinner one night to "confound the American," as she put it.

I first had it 5 decades ago in North Africa and have had a fondness for it ever since then. I just haven't had it in a very long time. I need to add that to my shopping list.
