Daily Dinner thread?

My wife makes a really good meatloaf with mashed taters and I finally got some of that fresh corn, the best I’ve had in a long time! Had seconds of course!

I was working in Atlanta for a couple of days. I stayed in Gwinnett near Gwinnett Place Mall. Lots of great ethnic restaurants. I usually eat at a Korean place and a Pho place. There is an Asian market off of Venture Dr. call Jusgo Supermarket. They recently opened a food court at an upstairs level. They have a bunch of cool looking places. I ate at a place called Xi'an Gourmet House. They do homemade hand pulled noodles. I had the spicy lamb cumin noodles. It was delicious. It was very flavorful and spicy. It wasn't a terrible mouth burn type of heat. It was more subtle. It made me sweat though. I will be eating there again next time I'm up there for work.

I love okra and don't eat it near enough. I'll take it anyway it's cooked. Stewed, boiled, fried. It doesn't matter if it's like snot. I'll eat it. A place on Jekyll Island called Driftwood Bistro does fantastic fried okra. It's the whole pod. It's perfect. Sadly they are closing is Sept due to the owner retiring. Hopefully whoever buys it keeps some of his recipes.
