Define "truck gun"

My truck gun is one of my backup pistols as I now carry an XD45 at all times. I don't have a lot of money into it. It is hidden in my truck and would take the average person a few minutes of serious searching to find it. It goes bang every time I pull the trigger and it is there if I ever need it.

A handgun that is easily accessible while seated in the drivers seat. Ideally, it will have a longer barrel than your EDC; while still being capable of being put into action with one hand. It should be pointable without requiring aiming. It is not a beater; but should it be stolen, it wouldn't be a great loss. I prefer a revolver; because I don't want empty shell casings ricocheting around inside the passenger compartment. Mine is a stainless 4" S&W revolver; but not a collectible by any means.
