Do people check the internet before they post a price on their gun?

I always check first, but you're right, I see lots of stuff posted way above normal pricing, and 'trades" that are wanting to trade way above nrrmal price and not wanting to kick in cash or extras.
I like the taurus that costs over 500 lol
I keep the high point ticker up right next to my precious metals quotes. Gotta be ready to offload at the top. just waiting on the next ghetto revolution before I make a decision
I think most do, but then you have the one guy asking 650 for a used Glock 17 with a blackhawk holster........

See lots that are not only overpriced but DOUBLE what you can order one from Buds for. Research before you pull the trigger with "I'll take it"....wait guys do this and crawfish already. Think I will try to deal with those veterans here from now on..at least they respond even if you can't make a deal/trade.
How did you get hosed when you voluntarily paid the price that was asked. Sounds like maybe you didn't do your own research. Personal responsibility is a good thing.
