Now that's good eating in certain parts of the world

fried mullet and mullet roe
fried fatback
home made hog head cheese (press meat, souce meat)
pot liquor (juice in a pot of rutabegas seasoned with pork) poured over crumpled up lace cornbread or Fritos corn chips
crispy battered fried hog chitlins
pickled quail eggs
battered and fried soft shell turtle

I could be here all night, lol

Smothered in butter & onions.

Perogis are the bomb. Best ones I've had were at The Church in Pittsburg. Its an old Catholic church turned restaurant and micro brewery. Inside was largely intact with tables replacing the pews and giant vats of deliciously fermented devil brew just beyond the pulpit. It was pretty awesome.

I eat pierogis. (PEER-Oh-GEEZ) I make them southern style....FRIED! my mom is from Pennsylvania and cooked them for me when I was younger, but it seems like a side that nobody else eats but me. i like the onion and cheddar ones, i prefer the storebought ones to homemade which is weird to me. anyone else eat them?

I routinely make pierogis. My dad's mother's mother used to call them 'tater dumplin's.
