Doc said I have to cut alcohol

That looks disgusting. You are a diabetic, and you are mixing that trash for your body with alcohol? Be a MAN, and put down that poison. Jeezuz Christ on a cracker ! Wah wah wah- I need a drink to cope……. Grab a glob of Vicks vapor rub next time you have an urge to drink and shove it up your pale AHHH!

Hope this helps bro. I walked by the beer isle yesterday and saw my favorite beer sitting there. In September it will be 2 years since I have drank any alcohol. I wasn’t an alcoholic , but I would drink about five beers while fishing/ grilling on the weekends. Doctor found a gist on my small intestine and it had to be cut and resectioned. While alcohol may have not been a contributing factor, it sure wasn’t helping.
Thanks for the kick in the nuts bro.

No worries! I'm 51 so not too young anymore.

Triglycerides are 3700 and supposed to be under 175. Alcohol is a contributing factor. So I try not to have any beer or alcohol in the house. I've had a tall draft at the Mexican restaurant once every 2 weeks for the past 2 months but I wanted something different.

I had cut it out entirely for about 8 months...it took me over a year to be able to do that, the urge for a beer is really strong after a ****ty day at work or when I fire up the grill. I wish I could leave it alone entirely but some days I want to drink or jump off a bridge lol. I'm diabetic on top of that soooo...

A little something to take the edge off, I'm definitely using it for a coping mechanism. I was drinking 20-30 beers a week so I'm definitely drinking less than I was. But I know people who drink 15 every night and 30 on the weekends with no issues, just doesn't seem fair lol
I've seen winos with amputations. Somethin to think about

Well maybe just putting it out there can help us hold ourselves accountable. That wasn't the point of this thread but the twist isn't a bad thing...
It was on your mind. You thought maybe it's not so bad after all. You got support, luckily in the right direction. Just do the right thing, your family will thank you for it
