Does anyone want to post their GSSF match scores?

That's EXCELLENT Shooting for your FIRST GSSF Match! I feel pretty good about my own "Performance", especially after "Working" the Side Match ALL DAY Sat. & half a day Sunday before shooting...and with NO Practice before the Match...

I had an 87.98 in "Competition"--I almost always shoot that Entry FIRST, as my "Warm-up"--and then a 77.81 in "Amateur Civilian"--Both shot w/a Gen3 G-17, BTW...

Apparently, I need to "Lay Off" of Shooting MORE OFTEN...Based on my performance--Fifteenth in "Am Civ"--Mebbe' my Buddy BamaTrooper over on the GlockTalk Forum IS RIGHT--"Practice" could be "Counterproductive" and even construed as CHEATING!...LOL!....mikey357

48/170 79.92 competition 34

8/40 80.18 guardian 17

35/45 112.53 master stock 22

42/71 114.86 Sub compact 27

Had a great time. The Griffin gun club put on a great match.

I was 39 out of 271 in Amateur Civilian. Last year at Griffin I was 19 out of 339 with a time of 73.02. Last year though I set up a couple of mock stages to shoot to practice for the match. Maybe I should start doing that again!

I shot my first GSSF at Stoddards Gun Range earlier this month and have been unable to get any info on how I stacked up with the rest of the competitors...

We were told that we were shooting the "Advanced Course"...I shot 3 strings with each string consisting of the same sequence:

Target 1
10 shots 15 seconds at 30ft
10 shots 15 seconds at 74ft

Pull Target 1.

Target 2
10 shots 15 seconds at 74ft
10 shots 15 seconds at 40ft
10 shots 15 seconds at 21ft

Scores
Run 1. G17--score 371: I was amped and pull 3 no scores at 74ft on first target

Run 2. g34-- Score 434: Brand new gun and had never shot a round through it...settled down and shot better

Run 3. g17 again--Score--456: Settled in and shot better...had a few flyers at 74 but all scored...would have liked to have broken the 500 club on this one..maybe next time...
